| February 28, 2013

Habitat for Humanity’s board of directors approved the Grant and Kathy Ford family for the upcoming Habitat for Humanity Veteran Build. Grant is an army veteran who served in Iraq and the Grants have three children, Dawson, Braiden and Keirstan.

Ground breaking is anticipated to begin by the end of March. The build will be located in West Lafayette in the area of East Seventh Street Rear.

Habitat’s goal is to raise approximately $70,000 and fundraising has already begun with Habitat’s Women Build teams which are currently forming as well as veteran organizations. The Women Build will take place the week of May 4–11. For information on forming a Women Build team, contact the Habitat office by March 31.

Donations also can be made “In Memory or In Honor of” a veteran on Habitat’s website at www.habitatcoshocton.org or make checks payable to Habitat for Humanity of Coshocton and include the veteran’s name. Mail checks to the Habitat Office at 1035 Walnut St., Coshocton, OH 43812.

Habitat is also looking for veteran groups or individuals who would like to be involved in the build. You can register online at www.habitatcoshocton.org and click on the Volunteer Up Button or call the Habitat office at 623-2764.
