Harlan ‘Jay’ Boal

Harlan “Jay” Boal, 73, of Dresden passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on January 3, 1949 to the late Lawrence M. and Doris M. (Hixon) Boal.

Jay was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School and worked for General Electric for 37 years before retiring.  He was a member of the American Legion in Dresden and enjoyed bowling, golfing, biking, fishing, and playing with the grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela (Wagner) Boal; sons Marty (Jessica) Boal of Killbuck, and Michael (Tracy) Boal of Warsaw; grandchildren Gary (Kerrie), William (Tasha), Derek (Stepfani), Griffin, and Raelyn; great grandchildren Revan and twins on the way; sister Cindy (Ron) Bible; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Gayle Boal.

Per Jay’s wishes a cremation will take place and there will be no funeral services at this time. The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
