Harold C. Titus
Harold C. Titus, age 85, of West Lafayette, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. He was born on March 19, 1937 in Pleasant Valley to the late Clifford and Margaret (Fortune) Titus.
Harold graduated from Coshocton High School in 1955, and then joined the United States Naval Reserves serving from 1955 to 1963.
On September 27, 1956, he married the love of his life, Violet (Rice) Titus, and spent 60 wonderful years together until she passed away on March 17, 2016.
He worked for Armco for many years before retiring and later worked for Rural King for seven years. He also served on the South Tuscarawas Fire Department serving as the Junior Chief for many years. Harold was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coshocton. He enjoyed garage saling, camping, deer hunting and was an avid peanut butter connoisseur!
Harold is survived by his three daughters, whom he loved dearly, Peggy Holsclaw of Tyndall, Jacqueline (Chuck) D’Ostroph of Coshocton, and Lori (Lee) Stockon of Dover; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (Bonnie) Titus and sisters, Lois (Sam) Laughlin, Ellen McClain, and Nancy Marshall; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and wife, Harold is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Terry Holsclaw and brothers-in-law, Ron McClain and Denny Marshall.
Calling hours were held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, 618 Chestnut St., Coshocton from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral Service was held at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Joe Sanders and Pastor Karma Burton officiating. Burial followed at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Harold’s name to the First Baptist Church, 618 Chestnut St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 or to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd. SE, Newark, Ohio 43055.
