Harold David “Cowboy Dave” Roahrig

Harold David “Cowboy Dave” Roahrig, 59, of Plainfield, passed away at The Ohio State University Hospital on Sunday January 8, 2023, after a brief illness.

Dave was born in Coshocton on May 23, 1963, to the late Harold and Mary (Larrison) Roahrig.  He graduated from Ridgewood High School in the class of 1981.  Dave worked at Jones Metal in West Lafayette and retired after thirty-two years and was currently working part-time at Buckeye Brine.

He loved woodworking, motorcycles, horses, playing his guitar, spending time with his family, meeting and talking to new people.

He is survived by his wife Carol Ann (Bradford) Roahrig; children Tiffany (Tim) Belaj of Buffalo, OH and John (Kelsey) Roahrig of Senecaville, OH; stepchildren Parker Cognion of Plainfield, Mike Cognion of Coshocton and Garry Cognion of Fresno; twelve grandchildren; three sisters Mary Ann (Dallas) Kelly of Plainfield, Wilma Roahrig of Plainfield and Thelma Roahrig of Newcomerstown; special nephew David Wayne Gress; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Young officiating.

Interment will follow in Plainfield Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Miller Funeral Home to help defray expenses; you may donate online on his webpage on the funeral home site, or there will be envelopes available at the funeral home.
