Harvey R. “Dick” Guilliams

Harvey Richard “Dick” Guilliams, 84, of Coshocton unexpectedly left this world on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 3:26 P.M. at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

Born June 29, 1928 in Conesville, he was the son of the late Harvey J. and Cecilia (Dawson) Guilliams.

He was a 48-year employee of the Clow Corporation working several different jobs including a Tow Motor Operator in the Shipping Department.

Dick will long be remembered as a founder and charter member of the South Tuscarawas Fire Department where he served as an officer for many years.  He also was an avid bowler and loved to play Bingo.  Former memberships included Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #935, Fraternal Order of Eagles #761 and a social member of the V.F.W. Post 1330.

Dick and his wife Irene Helen (Matis) Guilliams who he married December 27, 1947 enjoyed going to Auctions and Flea Markets together.  Another special family memory is the many family vacations and camping trips.

In addition to his wife, Dick will be missed by his five sons John Guilliams, William “Bill” (Bea) Guilliams, David “Dave” (Janice) Guilliams, George (Tammy) Guilliams all of Coshocton, Steven Guilliams of Tyndal; two daughters Carol (Donald) Neighbor, Sr. of West Lafayette, Sandy (Chip) Wilson of Coshocton; 17 grandchildren,  several great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters, and 3 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Carl Cutlip officiating.  Interment will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., and Monday 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the services.
