Have fun at the Coshocton Farmers Market
COSHOCTON – Hannah Roush, from the OSU Extension Coshocton County 4-H office made paper rockets with kids June 14, at the Coshocton Farmers Market, which is held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the fairgrounds.
You can have fun again at the market this Saturday with the Coshocton Behavioral Health Choices’ Youth Asset Leadership Team. The group will be there from 9 to 11 a.m. to do face painting and lawn games with children. They also will have prizes to give away and WIC participants can pick up their farmers’ market coupons at this time. Please bring your WIC identification card with you.
Jenny Wilson from Full Spoon Cooking also will be there Saturday to show you how to put a new twist on salads and the Master Gardener Volunteers will have a project to share on planting pumpkin seeds.
This summer at the market you also can enjoy outdoor yoga at 9 a.m. on Saturdays, except July 5 and if it rains the class will be canceled. This free class is taught by Crowtown Yoga and is open to all ages and abilities.
While you are there don’t forget to shop for yummy baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables and homemade crafts. Strawberries, peas (snow, sugar snap, and shelling peas), lettuce and greens, cabbage, zucchini and summer squash, radishes, green onions, garlic scapes, fresh herbs and flowers are expected to be available this month.
