Health, Safety and Wellness Expo is back
Kids America will be the site of the ninth annual Health, Safety and Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 11 from 8 a.m. to noon. Co-sponsored by Coshocton Regional Medical Center, Coshocton County Safety Council and Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, this is a free event. Many exhibitors will be there with wellness and safety information and free health screenings such as blood pressure, Dermascan, and more. Coshocton Regional Medical Center will offer several blood tests and results will be sent to the patient’s physician.
According to Amy Crown, executive director of the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, this free and family friendly event was designed to be educational for the entire community. “We are excited to have so many exhibitors promoting health & wellness, safety for your home, healthy food samples, free health screenings and more,” she said. “The Coshocton County Chamber has presented this event for the past eight years and we continue to see it grow and expand. After the past two years, not being able to be in-person, I believe we will see a tremendous turnout. The health screenings are a cost-effective way to know what is going on within your body and you will be able to meet physicians to discuss different concerns.”
If your business is interested in participating as a vendor, please contact the Coshocton Chamber of Commerce at 740-622-5411 or visit the website at www.coshoctonchamber.com, click under events to register. They allow vendors to sell products related to health, safety or wellness included in your registration fee.
“Something I find so rewarding about this event is the fact that we have saved people’s lives over the years,” Crown said. “When someone calls the chamber office to share a personal story about coming to this event and finding an underlying medical problem, it is rewarding. Several have found things before they become life threatening and we have even had a few cases where they were directed to seek medical attention right way. We could not do this event without Coshocton Regional Medical Center.”
