Health, Safety and Wellness Expo is free community event
The 10th Annual Health, Safety and Wellness Expo will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 8 a.m. to noon. This year, the expo will be held in the community room, 637 Chestnut St. at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut streets.
Those who attend the expo will find home safety tips, fitness and exercise programs, nutrition advice, health screenings and more. Blood draws will be provided by the Coshocton Regional Medical Center. The tests available include a complete blood count with differential, chem 8 (glucose, BUN, Creatine, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Carbon dioxide and Calcium), lipid profile, TSH and A1C. You can choose any or all of the tests and a 12-hour fast is recommended. There are fees for each test.
The expo is sponsored by the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, Coshocton Regional Medical Center and the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce Safety Council.
Amy Crown, executive director of the chamber of commerce, said the chamber is proud to co-sponsor the expo for the past decade with the Coshocton Regional Medical Center. “The event has touched thousands of people and been instrumental in saving some lives. CMRC brings a vast array of specialized services and provides free tests that have helped people improve their lives.”
Crown said the event will have many vendors that provide services in the areas of health, safety and wellness. “We normally have over 75 booths with a variety of resources. We invite the Coshocton community to this free, family friendly event where you are sure to learn something new and meet some great people.”
