Helen Irene (Erman) Leindecker

Helen Irene (Erman) Leindecker, 76, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. She was born in Coshocton on April 23, 1946 to the late Howard and Myrtle (Patterson) Erman.

Helen worked as a teacher at Coshocton City Schools for many years before retiring. She married Garry Leindecker in 1967, who preceded her in death in 2008. Helen was a member of Fresno Bible Church, and a member of the Ridgewood Schoolboard and volunteered with Project More for Ridgewood Middle School. Helen loved making and playing music, and one way she served her church was being the choir director and organist. She enjoyed educating children and tutored in her spare time.

Helen is survived by her two children Lynn Leindecker Rudd, and Brian (Kristy) Leindecker. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren Keith Leindecker, Jaelyn Rudd, and Marcus Leindecker, as well as one great-grandchild Kaden Gamble.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years Garry Leindecker, her parents, and her grandson Addison.

Calling hours were held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home Monday October 10, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. A funeral service followed at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Chris Cutshall. Burial took place at South Lawn Cemetery after the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Helen’s name to Fresno Bible Church, 24629 OH-93, Fresno, Ohio 43824, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
