Helen J. Hartsock
Helen Jean (Swartz) Hartsock, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023 at her residence.
She was born April 18, 1944 in Coshocton Co. to the late Russell W. and Beatrice I. (Bender) Swartz. She was a 1962 graduate of Warsaw High School, and worked at A-1 Vet Care for many years.
Helen loved attending her grandkids’ sporting events, gardening and caring for her flowers, and going with her husband on bus tours with her fellow Class of 1962 alumni.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George H. Hartsock, Sr., whom she married Feb. 14, 1963; two children, Kelly (Sara) Hartsock, and Stacey (Craig) Shriver, all of Warsaw; four grandchildren, Jessica & Kelsey Hartsock, and Caleb & Caily Shriver; two sisters, Ruth (Paul) Reed, and Bonnie L. (Charles) McVay, all of Warsaw; several nieces & nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Hartsock of Coshocton.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by a son, George H. Hartsock, Jr.; and a sister, Reva Gamertsfelder.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Dave Kraft officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until service time. www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
