Help clean up your community

COSHOCTON – There are several opportunities this spring to help do some cleanup work in the community. Take a look at our list to see how you can give back.

Annual Lake Park Clean Up Day: 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 2, with a picnic lunch for all volunteers provided by Friends of the Parks. All ages are welcome. You may bring gloves, wheel barrows, rakes, pruners, etc. Groups will be weeding, trimming, mulching, and picking up limbs and litter. Questions may be directed to the park district office at 740-622-7528.

The Big Coshocton Cleanup: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 16. Registration will be on the court square and the first 50 participants receive a free t-shirt. Donuts, bottled water and garbage bags provided. Receive assigned area at registration. On this day there also will be a container at the fairgrounds sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 403 accepting old appliances and another container sponsored by Kimble accepting old furniture. Both containers will be located near the Alder Street entrance. Questions, call the United Way office at 740-622-4567.

Triple Locks Spring Cleanup: 1 p.m., Sunday, May 1. Bring your rake or other items to help us spruce up the Triple Locks landscape. Everyone is welcome.

Clary Gardens Project Day: On Saturday, May 14 the event, Clary Gardens: Growing through Volunteers will be held. Families are welcome to come assist in building large Bean Teepee’s in the children’s garden from 9 to 11 a.m.
