Herman W. Uhlig

Herman W. Uhlig, 89, of Coshocton, passed away on Aug. 26, 2021, at Coshocton Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 16, 1932 in Warren, PA to the late Carl and Elsie (Gardener) Uhlig. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served from 1952 to 1954 in the Panama Canal Zone. After 44 years he retired from SM Flickingers, which is now Sysco. He was a fork lift operator and was passionate about his job. In his earlier years, he enjoyed chopping wood. On Nov. 22, 1952, he married Marjorie Ann (Foster) Uhlig, she passed away in 2013.

Herman is survived by his caring children, Gary (Alice) Uhlig of Sarasota, FL, Patti A. Uhlig Eckberg of Jamestown, NY, Gael (Marc Romano) Uhlig of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Roger (Kelly) Uhlig of Kannapolis, NC and Pastor Rodney (Joann) Uhlig of Coshocton; nine loving grandchildren Danielle and Adam Eckberg, Jordan (Leanne) Anderson, Jacob Uhlig, Karissa and Kathryn Uhlig and Shawn, Amanda and Jody; several great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Bednar, Olga Faulker and Linda Matie; as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Herman in death are his siblings, Carl Uhling, Art Uhlig and Eileen Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
