Fill your calendar with these upcoming Christmas events.
Secret Santa Shopping – Coshocton Elementary School is offering students the chance to shop for their families in a safe and fun way. This event will be held Sunday, Dec. 1 at the elementary school from 2-4 p.m. High school students will be available to help children shop. There will also be a wrapping station, a cookie decorating area, Santa pictures and games.
Christmas in the Country Craft Show – The West Lafayette Farmer’s Market will be holding a Christmas in the Country Craft Show on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Coshocton KOA on County Road 10.
Warsaw’s Christmas on Main Parade – The 2024 Christmas on Main Lighted Parade in Warsaw will be held on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. The parade will end at the court square with a short prayer, singing and then seeing Santa pass out candy. Parade participants need to line up at 5:30 p.m. at River View Community Park.
Live Nativity – The Coshocton Christian Tabernacle will hold its drive-thru live nativity from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6-7. The church is located at 48245 STE A Genesis Drive in Coshocton.
Santa’s Christmas Carnival – The Second annual Santa’s Christmas Carnival will be Saturday, Dec. 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Coshocton Community Room. This fundraising event is sponsored by the Coshocton Regional Medical Center and all funds will go to the Courthouse Illumination Project. The cost is $15 per child (adults are free). Activities include meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, ornament craft, reindeer food craft, cookie decorating, games, photo ops and a Snow Globe Experience.
Jingle Bell Shop Hop – Our Town Coshocton will be holding its Jingle Bell Shop Hop on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Christmas in the Village – The 36th Annual Christmas in the Village Craft Show will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ridgewood Middle School.
West Lafayette Christmas Parade – The West Lafayette Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 7 at 12:30 p.m. Line-up is at noon.
Candle Lighting – The annual candle-lighting at Roscoe Village will be on Saturdays, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. Before the candle lighting, guests can enjoy visits with Santa, hear strolling carolers, enjoy hot mulled cider and cookies, roasted chestnuts and other activities.
Christmas Magic in Lights – This drive-thru event will be held from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. Drive around the fairgrounds to see lighted displays by local individuals and clubs. Cost is by donation.
Christmas Concert – The Coshocton Community Choir will present its annual Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at River View High School. The 90-voice choir will be joined by the Coshocton Youth Chorale and The Coshocton Singers in the concert, as well as the Roscoe Brass Quintet, long-time accompanist Dickie Barrick and additional instrumentalists. In total, more than 150 musicians from throughout central and east Ohio will participate.
Christmas Crafter’s Event – Christmas Crafter’s Event will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Roscoe Village Visitor Center. This event showcases local crafters with an emphasis on holiday themed items.
