Hometown Christmas is the Theme for this year’s parade
After last year’s parade being canceled, the excitement is already building for Our Town Coshocton’s holiday parade. It will be on Friday, Nov. 19 and start at 5:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
“Our Town Coshocton has extended the deadline to register for the parade to Friday, Nov. 12. The easiest way to register is by visiting our newly revamped website at www.ourtowncoshocton.org,” said OTC Executive Director Lanny Spaulding. Both vendors and groups that want to participate in the parade can register there. All OTC events will be on their website and Spaulding wants to encourage everyone to check the site often.
The theme for this year’s parade is Hometown Christmas. “Parade line-up begins at 4:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds and participants will enter through the Eighth Street gate. Please come early as line-up will be determined on a first come, first serve basis,” Spaulding said. “We look forward to seeing everyone come together this year at this festive outdoor event.”
There will also be a vendor’s market downtown on that day. Vendors may begin to set up at 10:30 a.m. and are asked to tear down by 8 p.m. The Coshocton Public Library is also hosting a Holiday Open House, from 4-6 p.m. Refreshments, make and take crafts and a visit from Rudolph are just a few of the fun things they have planned for families.
“We wish everyone a safe and wonderful evening in Coshocton’s Historic District,” Spaulding said. If any interested party is unable to access registration via the internet, they may call 740-623-5934.
