Hopewell Industries holding track and field event for community
COSHOCTON – Bringing the community together and offering children and their families a safe place to get to know each other and have some fun are just a few of the reasons Hopewell Industries decided to hold a community track and field event on Friday, July 26. The rain date will be Wednesday, July 31.
“We feel it is very important for Hopewell Industries to be part of the community and not just in the community,” said Jessica Schlabach,
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch at 12. Lunch will be hot dogs, chips and water. It will be held at Hopewell School.
Children will be separated by ages. Three to 6-year-olds will have bubbles, face painting, a toilet bowl toss and hula hoop. Seven to 10-years-old will have a softball throw, three leg race, cornhole toss and last runner out. Eleven to 14-year-olds will have sack races, softball throw, standing long jump and 100/200 meter dash.
There will also be a dunk tank. For $1, children have the chance to drop Javanna Ransey into the water. All money raised will go to buy school supplies for local children.
For more information, please call Javanna or Jessica at Hopewell Industries at 740-622-3563. All children will need to have a waiver signed by an adult to participate. Adults must stay with their children.
