Human remains identified as Michael L. Hamm

COSHOCTON – Three men remain in custody at the Coshocton County Justice Center in reference to an ongoing murder and disappearance investigation of Michael L. Hamm.

On May 16, friends and family of 26-year-old Michael L. Hamm of the Coshocton area reported him missing. This started an in-depth investigation as to the location of his whereabouts.

On May 19, a 2001 Ford Ranger, belonging to Michael L. Hamm was located and recovered in Coshocton County in Linton Township.

On May 21 and into the early morning hours of May 22, the sheriff’s office took three men into custody and they remain in custody at the time of this release.

On May 22, later in the day, human remains were located and recovered in the Wills Creek area in Linton Township.

On May 23, Dr. Gwinn of the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office was able to positively rule the remains to be that of Michael L. Hamm.

Also on the 23, Paul M. Wilcox III, 29-years-old and from the Coshocton area, and Anthony L.S. Estvanko, 30-years -old and from the Coshocton area, were both charged with tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree. Jordan L. Green, 31-years-old and from the Newcomerstown area, was charged with murder, a felony of the first degree.

If anyone has any information regarding this homicide or disappearance, they are urged to contact the sheriff’s office.

Assisting the sheriff’s office with this on-going and very active investigation is BCI, Coshocton County SRT, the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office, West Lafayette Police, the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office, West Lafayette Fire, Walhonding Valley Fire, Prince’s Wrecker and United K-9.
