Ida M. Balo

BaloWARSAW- Ida Marie Balo, 94, of CR 41, died Wednesday Jan. 1, 2014 at the Coshocton Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Sept. 30, 1919 in Akron to the late Leo and Margaret (Keefer) Hawthorne.  She married Ralph L. Balo on Oct. 13, 1963, who preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1990.  She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, attending the senior center in Coshocton, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters; Iris (James) Marcentile of Coshocton, and Rhonda (Clarence) DeBolt of Zanesville, a son, Chris (Molly) Balo of Coshocton, four step-children; Marilyn (Kenneth) Fuller of Conesville, Etha (Ronnie) Tatro of Coshocton, Vivian Simmons of Arizona, and Donald Balo of Coshocton, twenty-three; grandchildren; Jason & Scott Clark, C.J. Marcentile, Jessica Balo, Tessa Suriano, Rocky Stubbs, Mack & Joe Rinehart, Jamie & Sarah DeBolt, Tim Fuller, Barb Heini, Steve Rinehart, Robin & Erin Rinehart, Michelle Rinehart, Shelly Stotzer, Christina Wintersteller, Terry & Donald Balo, Brian & Jeff Simmons, and Georgette Crawford, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and special friends Dottie Bickle, Lois Hamilton, Renee Mizer, and Nancy Buehler.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons; Leo & Lonnie Rinehart, a sister, Betty Hagans, and three brothers; Max, Donald, and Arthur Hawthorne.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday Jan. 4, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Galen Honabarger officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4-6 p.m. on Friday Jan. 3rd, and also one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuenralhome.com
