Injury accident reported on CR 16

On Nov. 13, 2021 at 7:42 p.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident on County Road 16 near Township Road 162 in Lafayette Township.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that Amanda Aronhalt, 40 years old, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, was traveling East in a 2015 Volkswagen sedan, when Aronhalt lost control of the vehicle negotiating a curve, going off the right side of the roadway.  Aronhalt’s vehicle continued along the tree line on the opposite side of the guardrail before striking a tree and coming to a rest.  Aronhalt had another passenger in the vehicle identified as Hunter Bliss, 18 years old, of Newcomerstown, Ohio.  Aronhalt was transported by NERS to Coshocton Regional Medical Center.  Bliss was transported by Coshocton County EMS to Coshocton Regional Medical Center as well. Both parties reported complaint type injuries.

Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene was the Coshocton County EMS, NERS, West Lafayette Fire Department, West Lafayette Police Department, Prince’s Wrecker Service, and REACT.
