Groves, JamesNEW GUILFORD- James Glenn Groves, 73, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at his residence after battling a lengthy illness.

He was born Sept. 21, 1941 in Coshocton Co. to the late John Darrel and Margaret M. (Woods) Groves.  He was a 1960 graduate of Union High School, and married Martha E. (Pelton) Groves on April 11, 1964.  He was a life-long “No-Till” farmer, and retired as a certified HVAC technician from Cosby Heating & Cooling of Mt. Vernon.  He was the past-president of the Coshocton Co. Beekeepers Association. He enjoyed wood-working, having built various pieces of furniture and hardware for many friends and relatives.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Martha Groves, he is survived by three daughters; Danita K. Smith, Nina J. (Jeffrey R.) Farrow, and Rebecca (Robert L., II) Boughner, three grandchildren; April C. Smith, James R. Smith, and Dakota A. Smith, two step-grandchildren; Jordane K. Farrow, and Dalton J. Farrow, an older brother, J. Richard Groves of West Bedford, a younger brother, three sisters, special friends; Jon & Gail Gallwitz, Dan & Becky Bowden, and Christine Sullivan, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Burial will take place at a later date.  Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, and also one hour prior to service time on Thursday.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
