James I. Michael
James Ivan “Jim” Michael, 74, of Coshocton passed away at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, January 5, 2013, at his home.
Born May 24, 1938, he was the son of the late William Daniel and Ruth Marie (Madison) Michael.
Before becoming disabled, he had been an employee of Stone Container, City of Coshocton and KnoHoCo. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and softball. Jim will be remembered for his abilities in handling cards. His 32-pound cat Rambo was his special companion. Memberships included the Fraternal Order of Eagles #761 and the Coshocton Sportsman’s Club.
Surviving are five daughters Janice Babcock-Sharier of Coshocton, Jamie (Bill) Reed of Bryan, Jodie Michael of Warsaw, Jolanda (Joel) Lusch of Fremont, IN, Julie (Tink) Wilson of West Lafayette; four step-daughters Mary Katherine White of Newcomerstown, Kimberly Sue White of Gahanna, Carol Ann (Thomas) Sells of Coshocton; Angie Williams of Coshocton; step-son Jeff Williams of Fresno; 14 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three brothers Thomas A. (Joyce) Michael, Larry E. (Lois) Michael all of Coshocton; William J. (Barb) Michael of West Lafayette; two sisters JoAnn Thomas of Galesburg, IL, Betty Buckmaster of Coshocton; sister-in-law Amy (Gary) Scott of Coshocton; two brothers-in-law David (Diane) Buker of Coshocton, Richard (Beth) Buker of Florida; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his wife Diana Carol (Buker) Michael on June 22, 2011, infant twin sons Jerry Lee and Larry Dale Michael, sister Mary M. Good, brother Robert “Bob” Michael and sister-in-law Linda Kay Buker.
A Memorial Service will be held 8:00 P.M., Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday prior to the memorial service.
The Cremains will be interred at a later date in Franklin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memoriums may be made to the James “Jim” Michael Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 961, Coshocton, OH 43812. Envelopes are available at Free Funeral Home.
