James “Jim” Stone
James “Jim” Stone, 90, of Coshocton passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 at his home. He was born in Linton Township on August 14, 1932 to the late Russell and Edna (Bell) Stone.
Jim graduated from Coshocton High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force for 21 years. During his time in the Air Force, he served in the Korean War and three tours in Vietnam. After his time in the military, he began working at General Electric for 20 years before retiring. During retirement he served on the Honor Guard for the Coshocton Veterans Council, he attended over 1000 military funerals.
Jim is survived by his wife, Myrna (Murray) Stone, who he married May 19, 1955; children Debbie Stark, David (Renee) Stone and Russell Stone all of Coshocton; grandchildren Wendy Appis, David Stone Jr, J.R. (Tracy) Stone, Chris Stone, Jake Stone, and Callie Stone; 11 great grandchildren; sisters Virginia (Ron) Carroll, Linda Crieder, and Patricia Infield.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers William and Kerry Stone; and sister Nancy Mumpower.
Per Jim’s wishes there will be no services at this time and a cremation will take place. The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements. An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
