James Joseph ‘Jim’ McNeely

| March 7, 2023

James Joseph “Jim” McNeely passed away peacefully into the loving hands of his Savior and Lord Jesus on March 5, 2023.

Jim was married on June 28, 1986 to Linda (Baker) McNeely (surviving). They were first introduced in August of 1984 by Linda’s brother Stan Baker and they knew at the first glimpse they had each finally met the love of their lives. They were looking forward to the celebration of anniversary number 37 this June. Jim and Linda have no children.

Jim was born on September 27, 1950 to the late Vernon and Erma (Salrin) McNeely. He has two brothers Thomas (Carol Sue, deceased) McNeely, Paul McNeely and two sisters Rita (Thomas, deceased) Cannon and Mary Catherine (Rob, deceased) Skarke.

Jim is survived by many loving and caring nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was a 1969 graduate of Coshocton High School and he worked many years at AK Steel until his retirement in 2009. He loved to read nonfiction, biographies, and history. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and NHRA racing and the couple’s religious programs. He liked to golf when he could ever get the time, and had a trophy to show for his talent.

A private service is being planned at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home at a later date.

Everyone so loved Jim and he will forever be missed by all of us.
