James Thomas Lucas

COSHOCTON – James Thomas Lucas, 93, of Coshocton passed away 8:56 P.M. Thursday, November 15, 2018 to join his beloved wife of 65 years, Idaellen.

Born March 30, 1925 in Kelso, Washington he was the son of the late James Cole and Ella Edith (Moore) Lucas.  He married Idaellen Moore September 25, 1948.  She preceded him in death November 13, 2013.

James was a World War II Veteran that served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946.  Then he served in the U.S. Marines from 1946-1949. Later he was a public school teacher for the Huntington Beach California school district.

He is survived by a son, James Mathew (Jane) Lucas of Hollywood, California; a daughter Kathleen (James ) Rollins of Warsaw; two granddaughters, Nicole (Byron) Greenleaf of Michigan and Dana (Nick) Gava of Washington D.C.; one great grandchild Caden Greenleaf of Michigan; and his loyal companion, Semper Fi.

To honor James’ request, there are no services and cremation will take place.
