Harper, JanetCOSHOCTON – Janet (Kanuckel) Harper, 89, of Coshocton died Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 31, 1927 in Blissfield to the late Harve and Erma (Reed) Kanuckel.  She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Louis F. Harper; two daughters, Debbie (John) Dunlop and Lisa (Mike) DeMattio; her son, Jeff (DeAnn) Harper; four grandchildren, Bess Dunlop, Sybil (Mike) Wright, Kirk Harper, and Kate Harper; two great-grandchildren, Hunter & Piper; two sisters, Doris  Randles and Patti Fischer Lewis; two sisters-in-law, Phoebe Kanuckel and Vera Kanuckel; a brother-in-law, Karl Kose; three step-granddaughters, Jenny (Chuck) Wenger, Kimmy (Steve) Stockdale, and Angie Neff; eight step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty; two brothers, Jack & William Kanuckel; brothers-in-law L.W. “Smiley” Randles, Lynn Fischer, Jack Lewis, Leland Harper, and Elmore Harper; sisters-in-law Prudence Harper, Martha Harper, and Eloise Kose; and a special aunt & uncle, Virgia & Mart McNeal.

Janet was active in church all of her adult life.   She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She enjoyed  taking care of her family and cooking and baking for them.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Loris Fox and Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating.  Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw.   Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28th at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
