Janet Large Ewings

Janet Large Ewings, 70, of Warsaw died Monday, October 11, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born September 27, 1951 in Holmes County to James and Bernadine F. (Giauque) Large.

Janet was a 1969 graduate of River View High School and received her BS Degree from North Central University in Minnesota. Janet was a Social Worker at the Coshocton County Department of Job & Family Services, retiring in 2016.  She was a true Christian servant and traveled the country as a child evangelist.  She was a ventriloquist and played over a half dozen musical instruments.  She was a foster parent to over 50 children.  She loved to travel and enjoyed her winters in Zephyrhills, FL.  She also attended The Upper Room Assembly in Coshocton.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Ewings, whom she married May 15, 2010.  Also surviving is her son, Daniel (Cherisa) Hodges of Millersburg.  Grandchildren, Spencer Chaney & Stryder Hodges. Her father, James (Sonya) Large of Killbuck.  Her sister, Bev Large of Killbuck.  Three brothers, Jack (Vickie) Large of Conesville, James “Jim” (Lisa) Large, Jr. of Killbuck, and John (Marie) Large of Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her mother Bernadine Large and her son, Douglas R. Hodges.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Stan Braxton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
