Janet Sue (McCoy) Mosier, 72, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Juanita Potts Family Home, where she was a resident.

She was born June 3, 1948 in Coshocton to the late William and Mildred (Clark) McCoy. She was also formerly a member of the Coshocton County Republican Central Committee.

Janet was the most devoted mother and grandmother.  She was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church and her faith was evident to all around her.  She loved her music and was a talented organist, pianist and choir member.  She enjoyed her flowers and never met a stranger or missed a community event.  She was not fond of cooking and loved to eat out.  Many refer to her as the kindest, sweetest and strongest person they have ever met.

She is survived by two daughters, Angie (Brent) Phillips and Christy (Sean) Nicely, both of Coshocton; her grandchildren, Samantha (Trent) Grassbaugh, Tyler Nicely and Paige Nicely; siblings, Keith (Denise) McCoy, Rodney McCoy, Dianne (Chris) Adams, and Kevin (Amy) McCoy; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her long-time companion, C. Melvin “Mel” Cantrell; and a brother, Terry McCoy.

Janet’s family extends special thanks to the Juanita Potts Home care team and to Interim Hospice.
