Janice Elizabeth Green

Janice Elizabeth Green, 86, of Fresno, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.   She was born in Baltic on June 1, 1932 to the late Frank and Esther (Reidenbach) Limbacher and was married on October 30, 1938 to Chester Melvin Green. She attended Baltic High School and later earned her LPN license. She enjoyed helping the sick and worked at the former Baltic Country Manor as an LPN until her retirement. She also earned the Eastern Division Nurse of the Year Award from Horizon Healthcare Corporation. Janice enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing piano and organ. She also played clarinet in high school. Janice also enjoyed flower gardening and working outside with her husband Chester. She was a member of the Renner’s United Church of Christ where she would sometimes play the piano and organ. She is survived by her children, Judy (Larry) Hunter of Warsaw, Joyce (Gary) Clark of North Canton, Chester (Lisa) Green of Warsaw and Jill (Ty) Cobb of Ragersville; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and her 4 siblings, Shirley (Wayne) Smith of Baltic, Ron Limbacher of Boone, NC, Dean (Elaine) Limbacher of West Lafayette and David (Cookie) Limbacher of Baltic. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Private services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 with Rev. Jim Henninger officiating. Burial will be in Halifax Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
