Jeannette I. Lonsinger

WALHONDING – Jeannette Irene (Lowery) Lonsinger, 84, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at her residence.

She was born May 16, 1932 in Coshocton to the late George Kenneth and Elva B. (Lewis) Lowery.  She was a 1950 graduate of Coshocton High School. On Aug. 2, 1961 she married James C. Lonsinger, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2014.  She was an employee of the former Kresge’s store of Coshocton.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, collecting unicorn figurines, and caring for her many cats through the years.  She was also a breast cancer survivor.

She is survived by a son, Rick Lonsinger (fiancé Dallas Parr) of Walhonding; a daughter, Christine (Benny) Thomas of Fallsburg; two grandchildren, Andrew & Alicia Lonsinger; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Lowery; and a daughter-in-law, Luella Lonsinger.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Jonathan Carlisle officiating.  Burial will follow in Tiverton Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
