Jerald R. Walters, 70, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Civil War reenacting was his favorite hobby for over 30 years. He participated in many battles and events representing Phillip Conkle, his great-great grandfather who was a Veteran of the conflict. Over the course of his life he lived in many places and had many friends. He loved to travel and explore every new place he called home. He had a lifelong interest in history, nature, and learning in general. He enjoyed touring museums and passing along interesting facts that most people overlooked or took for granted.

He cherished his family and supported their achievements wholeheartedly. He thoughtfully kept in touch with birthday and Valentine’s Day cards, and letters. He will be fondly remembered always.
