Joan Ronshausen

WEST LAFAYETTE – Joan Ronshausen, 80, of West Lafayette passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 at her home. She was born Jan. 15, 1937 in Coshocton Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ross and Madeline (Dornan) Dickey of Canal Lewisville, Ohio. Joan was a graduate of Keene High School with the class of 1954. After graduation she attended airline school in Kansas City, MO. Later she employed as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell in 1957.

On Nov. 18, 1956 she married Jim Ronshausen who survives. The couple has been married for 60 years.

Joan was a member of the West Lafayette Methodist Church. She was also a past member and president of the Pandorian Club of West Lafayette and member and past president of the Hickory Flat Morning Golf League. She has a passion for decorating and golf.

Along with her husband, Jim, she is survived by her daughter Kelly (Ralph) Young of West Lafayette; two grandsons Darren Young and Derrick Young both of Columbus.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son Larry; brother Jack Dickey and sister Donna Jones.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services for Joan will be Saturday at 11:00am with Pastor Matthew Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Living Memorial Fund of West Lafayette, Community Hospice of Coshocton, or the West Lafayette United Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
