John D Countryman

John D Countryman, 59, of Coshocton passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2023. He was born on January 25, 1964 in Coshocton to the late David Countryman and Hazel (Wolfe) Countryman, who survives. He was a graduate of the Coshocton County Career Center and at 16 years old began logging. He was very knowledgeable about trees and loved logging. On December 20, 2012, he married Lisa Elliot Countryman after being together since 2005. John can be described as a jack of all trades and a master of none. He loved to fish, camp and travel. They enjoyed going to Ocean City. He volunteered for the Golden Heart Rescue as well as taking in dogs that needed a home. Both John and Lisa were members of the Upper Room Assembly of Worship.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Walter (Mike) Countryman, Renee (Jon Jon) Willett, Jordan (Braxton) Countryman, Kelsey Countryman, Steven (Tiffany) Mack, Changdera (Brittany) Zarilla-Davidson, Scott (Teresa) Mack, Dustin Mack, Charles (Emily) Mack, Penny Koballa, Dorothy (Matt) Clyde and many others; many, many grandchildren that he loved that called him, “Paw Paw”; siblings, Mary (David Lear) Countryman and Melissa Countryman.

He is preceded in death by his children, Phillip Clyde and Kris Burdette; brother, Michael Countryman as well as grandparents, Mary Ellen Newell, Albert Countryman, Leo Wolfe and Betty Preston.

A cremation with the Miller-Kaser Cremation Services will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Upper Room Assembly of Worship.
