John Eugene Paazig

John Eugene Paazig, age 69, of Coshocton, Ohio passed over to glory on Saturday, April 6, 2024. He was born on July 14, 1954 to Merlin Paazig and Goldie (Rauch) Paazig in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

John met his wife, Jo Ellen (Mounts) Paazig in high school in 1971. Their marriage of 50 years began on April 29, 1973. John graduated from River View High School in 1972. He entered the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic in 1973. John and Jo went on to have two children, Debbi and Beth.

He retired in 2019 to spend his time with his family and his beloved dog, Sadie. He spent much of his time, tinkering around, gardening, bird watching, and fishing with his grandchildren He attended Gospel Hill Ministries and was part of the Light Keepers; and was a longtime member of the AMVETS. John was a simple man that loved the outdoors and critters. He was best known by the suspenders or bib overalls he wore with his iconic straw hat and hanky.

John was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Sue Paazig, his father, Merlin Paazig and his daughter Debra Kay (Paazig) Fowler.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ellen (Mounts) Paazig, his daughter Beth (Paazig) Brady and husband Jamie, his son-in-law Cheyenne Fowler, his mother, Goldie Paazig (Rauch), his siblings Helen (Paazig) and John Johnson, Earl and Sondra Paazig, Tom and Kay Paaizg, Also survived by his grandchildren, JoAnna Fowler, Jared Brady, Austin Fowler, Lucas Fowler, Owen Fowler and great granddaughter Aayla Brady.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm at Gospel Hill Ministries, 27610 TR 45, in Warsaw, with Military Honors being conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council Honor Guard at 12:45 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 pm at the Church with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. A luncheon will be held after the services, and all are welcome to attend.
