John William Lawrence

John William Lawrence, age 58, of Coshocton, passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, March 14, 2024. He was born on July 31, 1965, in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Robert and Shirley (Welsch) Lawrence.

After graduating from Ridgewood High School in 1984, he met Lorie (Bebout) Lawrence and they were married on May 28, 1988.

John had a heart of gold. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He listened and gave advice to his girls when they needed it the most and always lead them down the right path in life. He loved to play a good prank and was known as the Grill Master in his family. He enjoyed camping, kayaking, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, cheering them on during the good times and bad.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lorie Lawrence; children Ashley Fuller of Dover, Jessica (Joel) Porter of Cambridge, Jennifer Lawrence of Coshocton and step-son, Josh Thompson of Coshocton; eight grandchildren, Jocelyn Thompson, LeAnn Fuller, Layla Fuller, Peighton Edie, Colton Edie, Trenton Edie, Harper Porter and Keagan Porter; one great-grandson, Auggie Cline; siblings, Debbie Marraccini of Florida, Bob Lawrence of Kimbolton and Kathy (Kevin) Kirker of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Lawrence and nephew, Brian Kirker.

Per John’s wishes, a cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life being held at a later date. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
