Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum to host What Women Want

COSHOCTON – What do women want? To start with, time to relax with friends while feasting on exquisite cuisine fine wine. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum will be offering this and more at What Women Want on April 12. What Women Want—A Night out Just for Womenfeatures a luxurious five-course dinner and a What Women Want auction of unique packages and exclusive experiences.

The affair begins at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres, wine and live music by Joe Hardesty. Check in, examine the auction packages, and bid in the silent auction. A sit-down dinner served by black-tie waiters begins at 7 p.m. Chef Michael Cichon, known to create enticing entrees that thrill the pallet, is designing and preparing this fete.

The What Women Want Auction includes cool packages, outing bundles, dinners and overnights. Favorites from years past include a weekend rental on Kelly’s Island, a gourmet dinner for eight prepared by Chef Cichon at the museum, and an airplane ride for three over Coshocton County. Another terrific package, The Time Traveler, offers a barbequed rib supper for ten at the Tree Top Lodge, built in the early 1920s by Charles Dennis, owner of the Morgan Run Coal and Mine Company. The winning party will dine on Jon Cotterman’s award-winning ribs in the lodge’s spacious screened-in porch. A new package this year is “Dinner at the Doctor’s House” for four, compliments of Roscoe Village and Chef Bob McKenna of Unusual Junction. Additional descriptions of packages will be updated on JHM’s website a week before the event.

What Women Want is a fundraising event organized by The Friends of the Museum. All proceeds will be used to support the museum’s educational programs. Tickets are $45. Current Friends members’ price is $40. Those who call with a table of at least six will have their name entered into a drawing for a special package. Admission covers hors d’oeuvres, dinner and two complimentary wine tickets. A cash wine bar will also be available. If you are interested in sponsoring a full table or an auction item, contact the museum. Tickets may be purchased at the museum or by calling the museum at 622-8710. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Ticket sales end on April 5.
