Johnson-Humrickhouse to host Night at the Museum
COSHOCTON – What happens at the museum after the lights are turned off and doors locked tight? Only the Samurai knows, but that may change soon! The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum invites you to find out on Aug. 7 with its version of Night at the Museum. Children ages 5—10 are invited to experience JHM like they never have before. They’ll need a flashlight to explore each gallery in the dark and should be ready for some surprising bumps in the dark. After the children decorate their character pendants, they’ll enter a time machine that will take them to other places and times. Surprisingly they’ll have just the right objects that will help the museum characters in their distress. Afterwards our small heroes will watch one of the Night at the Museum movies and snacks will be served.
Children are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring a flashlight and sleeping bag. Admission is $10 for children, $9 for Friends of the Museum, and $1 for accompanying adults. Please, no older children unless they come as a younger child’s guardian. (We want to give the younger children the opportunity to find the clues.) Make your reservations by Aug. 4 by calling the museum at 740-622-8710 or e-mail jhmuseum.org. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located at 300 N. Whitewoman Street in Roscoe Village, Coshocton.
