Joseph B. ‘Joe’ Kirker
COSHOCTON – Joseph B. “Joe” Kirker, 77, of Coshocton passed away at The Ohio State University Hospital on Thursday, December 20, 2018.
Joe was born in Coshocton on November 2, 1941 to the late Gilbert & Oneita Kirker. He graduated from Roscoe High School, class of 1959; served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965; and retired from Ansell Edmont in Coshocton. He was a member of Shepherd’s Christian Assembly Church, American Legion, Newcomerstown Elks Lodge and the Coshocton Eagles Club. Joe loved the outdoors, yard work, crossword puzzles and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Cathy A. (Silverthorn) Kirker, whom he married April 6, 1969; two daughters Amy (Leon) Lively of Columbus and Julie (Jamie) Bryan of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter Elena Lively; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers, Mack, Jim and Don Kirker.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Starkey Lawrence and Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery with Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Shepherd’s Christian Assembly Church, 311 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
