Julius Dean Pahoundis
Julius Dean Pahoundis, age 60, of Zanesville passed away at Genesis Hospital on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 with pneumonia. Julius was born in Coshocton, Ohio on February 11, 1963 to the late John Daniel Pahoundis, Sr. and Betty Lou Lane Pahoundis. He moved to Coshocton from Pearl, Ohio in 2004. He worked with the horses on his parents’ thoroughbred horse farm and enjoyed working on anything broken and vehicles. Julius’s favorite pastimes were gardening, watching the history channel, fishing, listening to music and playing Bingo.
Julius is survived by his brothers John D. (Jacinda) Pahoundis II of Conesville, James D. Pahoundis and Joseph D. Pahoundis, Sr. of Walhonding; and sisters Cynthia (Frederick) Rodgers of Dresden, Mary Louise (Jeff) Laird and Teresa (Kelly) Barker of Utah; several aunts and uncles including Raymond Odell Lane of Zanesville, Herbert Lane of Coshocton and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends at Abbot Senior Living that are too numerous to mention.
Along with his parents, Julius was preceded in death by his oldest sister Debbie Lou Beamer (2023) and his youngest sister Elizabeth Joanne Meckley (2002) and his brothers Jeffrey Dee Pahoundis, Sr. (2023) and Jerry D. Cook Pahoundis (2011) and grand nephew Daniel Ray Pahoundis (2002)
Free Funeral Home is assisting the family. A private family gravesite gathering will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Fresno, Ohio on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm with burial immediately following.
