Mowery002COSHOCTON- June Conner Mowery, 85, of US 36, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville.

She was born June 11, 1929 in Coshocton Co. to the late James A. and Hattie (Hawkins) Conner.  She was a 1947 graduate of Warsaw High School.  She married Robert J. Mowery on Aug. 31, 1949, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2010.  She was a long-time member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church, Bethlehem Grange, and Ohio Eastern Star.

June was a 4-H advisor for many years, and she enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, crocheting, and singing in the church choir.  Her grandchildren loved her homemade doughnuts and noodles.

She is survived by three daughters; Lois (Dale) King of Conesville, Carol Bookless of Roscoe, and Jo Ann Hennen of Coshocton, a son, Walter (Lisa) Mowery of Coshocton, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Lucille Ridenbaugh of Coshocton, and Betty McCarty of West Lafayette, two sisters-in-law; Mildred Scherer of Canal Lewisville, and Margaret (Jack) Cullison of Warsaw, a brother-in-law, Ward (Anita) Mowery of Louisville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Mowery, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.   www.fischerfuneralhome.com
