K-9 Chili discovers large amount of suspected drugs

On April 4th, 2021, at approximately 12:29 a.m. a deputy with the Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Valley Drive near Eagle Drive in the City of Coshocton on a 2001 Dodge sedan for a moving violation.

Upon investigation of this stop, K-9 Chili indicated on the vehicle, in which a large amount of suspected drugs, cash, and other narcotic related items were located inside. A female passenger of the vehicle was then placed under arrest and transported back to the Justice Center.  The name of the female involved will be released at a later date pending the filing of formal charges.

On April 5, 2021, 50-year-old Tricia L. Winegar of Coshocton was formally charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, a felony of the second degree. This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office and the Coshocton County Prosecutors Office.
