Karen Marie Dunfee

A precious angel has gained her wings. Karen Marie Dunfee, age 72, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home at Altercare. She was born on November 29, 1951, to the late Charles and Grace (Johnson) Bachman.

Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing video games, board games, and reading books. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, telling jokes and making people laugh. Karen was an avid bingo player and enjoyed calling at the Moose Lodge. One of her past time favorites was dancing anytime she could.

She is survived by her children, Lynn (Vernon) Mardis, Laurie (Leroy Waldren) Dunfee and Teresa (Dave Dilly) Dunfee; grandchildren Sabrina (Jason) Romine, Rick (Jessica) Mardis, Katelyn (Todd Tusing) Dunfee, Shieann Waldren, and Ethan McCullough. Great-grandchildren, Brian, Braden, Layne, Bailee, Asher, Laikyn, and Tatum; siblings Carl (Jean) Bachman, Dave (Cindy) Bachman, Tim (Vickie) Bachman, and Lois (Rick) Stitler. Former husband and father of her children, Fred Dunfee; step-grandchildren, Felicia (Brett) Guthrie and their children, and Tyler (Tiffany) Waldren and their children; and several nieces and nephews. Three special friends Sarah, Kandi, and Blanche along with the wonderful caring staff at Altercare.

Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her grandson Fredrick Dunfee, sister Teresa Masters and several in-laws.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 12:00 pm.
