Karen Miller
Karen Miller, 76, of West Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021. She was born on Sept. 9, 1944, to the late Edward C. Sr. and Morna I. (Matheson) Gaumer, in St. Helena, California.
After graduating from the last graduating class of Fresno High School, Karen became a military wife and homemaker, raising her family before she started working in the airline industry and worked for Continental Airlines then United Airlines for over 20 years before retiring.
She was a very talented artist who enjoyed painting and years ago, working in her ceramics shop. She enjoyed fishing, running 5k and 10k races, riding dirt bikes and side-by-sides with her son. She was full of live and very adventurous. She was loved by many and will truly be missed.
Karen is survived by her four children, Carollee Bullock of Hawaii, Sam (Christy) Miller of Newcomerstown, Eric Miller of Hawaii and Stevan Miller of West Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Chelsea, Kyle, Kelly, Aaron, Dalton and Tayhani; eight great-grandchildren; four siblings, Christine Hunter of Millersburg, Luke Gaumer of Fresno, Eddy Gaumer Jr. of New Philadelphia and Les Gaumer of Coshocton; and many nieces and nephews.
Per Karen’s wishes, a cremation will take place with burial in Hawaii at a later date.
