Kathy ‘Kate’ Shivers
Kathy “Kate” Shivers, 65, of West Lafayette passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 at her home. She was born in Circleville, Ohio on Feb. 7, 1955 to the late Curtis and Glenna (Perry) Reid.
Kate was a graduate of Ridgewood High School and was the head cook for Ridgewood High School and Ridgewood Elementary for 31 years before retiring. She was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. She loved reading, musicals, going to sporting events, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Kate is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kirby Shivers; children, Scott (Georgia) Shivers, Robin (Jamison) Shannon, and Jaime (Christopher) Cabot all of West Lafayette; grandchildren, Tayler and Ashton Shivers, Maggie Shannon, and Cohen, Jackson, and Weston Cabot; brother, William Reid; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Peg Foreman, Betty Bainter, and Curtis “Pete” Reid; and nephews, Tim and Dave Foreman.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral services for Kate will be Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
