Kay Lynn Glazier

Kay Lynn Glazier, age 83, went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2023.  Born on March 10, 1940 in Coshocton to the late T. Bernard Latier and Eleanor (Gaither) Rea. A 1958 graduate of Coshocton High School, she then went on to attend the Columbus Business School. Kay worked with special needs children for several years at South Lawn Elementary and was also a teacher’s assistant before retiring.

In her free time, Kay loved shopping, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan. Kay was also an active member of both Grace United Methodist Church and Isleta United Methodist Church where she helped start the prayer shawl group and taught other church members how to knit. She also enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends whom she graduated with and even attended her 65th class reunion with this past July; but most importantly, she loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband Bob, whom she wed on June 20, 1959; three sons, Scott Glazier of Morro Bay, California, Grant Glazier of Painesville, Ohio and Tom (Elaine) Glazier of Belpre, Ohio; six grandchildren, Sierra, Noah, Brisa, Shawna, Brenna, and Brittney; seven great-grandchildren, and many close friends and loving neighbors.

In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her grandson, Robby and her two sisters, Shirley (Lewis) Milligan and Pat (John) Laird.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 10:30AM to 11:00AM at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held immediately following at 11:30AM at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Isleta United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kay’s name to Grace United Methodist Church at 422 Walnut St, Coshocton, OH 43812 or to Isleta United Methodist Church at 58608 Co Rd 9, Newcomerstown, OH 43832
