Keene families enjoy breakfast event

| August 31, 2018

COSHOCTON – Zaiden Curry and Zander Burtnett pose with their donuts that were served during Keene Elementary School’s Everybody Reads celebration on Aug. 31. All of River View’s elementary school students started out the year by reading the same book, “Disaster Strikes, Blizzard Night.” Parents were encouraged to read with their children and complete activities about the book with them. The book had to be finished by Aug. 31 when the students and their families were able to tour the school to see projects the different grade levels did with the book and then enjoy breakfast together. “Dad read the book to them and they said it was the best book yet,” said Kendra Parsons. “They really enjoyed it.”

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
