Kenneth Edgar LePage

Kenneth Edgar LePage, 85 of New Concord, passed away peacefully at The Oaks at Bethesda surrounded by his loving family on January 2, 2023.

Kenny was born on April 6, 1937 to P. Edgar and Edna (Robinson) LePage.  He was born on the family farm near Rix Mills where he called home his entire life.  Kenny was proud that the LePage Family Farm was recognized as a two generation, Ohio Century Farm on December 1, 2016.

He was a 1955 graduate of New Concord High School where he was active in FFA.  He served his country in the National Guard.  He was a lifelong area farmer.  He held numerous jobs including David Davies, Mosaic Tile Company, and 27 years as a machinist for McGraw Edison (Cooper Industries) in Zanesville until they closed.  He then worked several other jobs including construction, church janitor, and traffic flagger for Guernsey-Muskingum Electric.  He was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Council, Muskingum County Cattlemans, an avid supporter of local 4-H and FFA and enjoyed attending karaoke at Highway 40.  He  was a lifelong member of the New Concord United Methodist Church where he served as head usher for over 20 years; and he enjoyed welcoming members and guests, young and old to the church.

Kenny married Betty Lou (Swingle) LePage, whom he married April 17, 1965.  Betty Lou, his wife of 50+ years, predeceased him on March 21, 2016.

Kenny is survived by his children, Kendra Sue (Ron) Carnegie and Ryan (Heather) LePage; his grandchildren, Leah Paige Carnegie, Brett S. Carnegie, Lauren (Nate) Chandler and their son, Mason; his second wife, Mary Jane Lowry, and her children, Rodney, Bryan, James, and Connie; and their children and grandchildren; as well as his nieces and nephews, Lillian, Jane, Bill, Charlie, Marge, and Becky.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou LePage; his son, Brian Kenneth LePage; his brother, Miles LePage; his sister, G. Constance Seene, and his nephew, Larry LePage.

Kenny’s family is at peace knowing he is at home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitations will be from 4 to 7 on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, 63 West Main Street, New Concord, Ohio 43762. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday at the New Concord United Methodist Church, 20 East High Street, New Concord, OH with Pastor Philip Wilden and Reverend Craig Redecker officiating the service.  Kenneth will be laid to rest beside his wife at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the New Concord United Methodist Church at 20 East High Street, New Concord, OH 43762.
