Lady Bears defeat Tri-Valley and Meadowbrook

WARSAW – River View nabbed the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Tri-Valley on April 14. The game was tied at two with River View batting in the top of the seventh when Lauren Krystek’s sac fly scored one run for the Lady Bears.

In the top of the sixth inning, River View tied things up at two. River View scored one run when Bella Heddleson singled.

River View tallied nine hits on the day. Bailey Hettinger, Gracie Dunlap, and Peyton Werntz all collected multiple hits for River View. Werntz, Dunlap, and Hettinger each collected two hits to lead River View.

On April 13 River View had everything working, winning big over Meadowbrook 10-2. The Lady Bears got on the board in the first inning when Krystek singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Werntz pitched the Lady Bears to victory. She went seven innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out six and walking one.

River View racked up 10 hits in the game. Hettinger, Dunlap, and Alyssa Thomas each managed multiple hits for River View. Thomas, Dunlap, and Hettinger each collected two hits to lead River View.
