Lady Skins pick up first win
On Aug. 24 in the Wigwam, the Coshocton Redskins volleyball team picked up their first win of the season in a five-set thriller against visiting Morgan by the scores of 18-25, 25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 15-13.
The ‘Skins were led offensively by Kenidi Jackson with 13 kills, while Lacey Guthrie added nine and Saige Abbott had six. Guthrie dished out 20 assists and Lilah Laaper added 13.
Defensively, Jaeli Tiedt dug up 10 Raider attacks and Sophia McFadden was tough at the net with seven blocks. At the service line Lapper led the way with four aces and Abbott added three.
The Redskins once again split the preliminary contests; winning the JV contest and falling in the first sub-varsity match. Mallorie Stamper had five kills and four aces in the victory.
