On Tuesday night, Oct. 10 in Philo, the Coshocton Redskins volleyball team picked up a Muskingum Valley League victory over the host Electrics by the scores of 25-11, 21-25, 25-18, and 27-25.
Leading the ‘Skins was Lilah Laaper as she had 21 assists and 13 digs, pacing the team in both categories. She also added three kills and four service aces in the victory. Lacey Guthrie pounded a career-high 17 kills while Leah Mathias added eight. Jaeli Tiedt had 12 digs and she led all servers with five aces. Guthrie was the blocks leader with four, while Saige Abbott and Sophia McFadded each added three.
Coshocton swept the evening as it won a pair of preliminary matches. In the reserve contest, the JV ‘Skins won 25-18, 25-15. In the first sub-varsity match, the Redskins prevailed 27-25, 18-25, 25-21.
For the reserves, Chloe Talbott pounded five kills, and Phoenix Celeschi served up seven aces.
The volleyball will close out the regular season in the Wigwam on Thursday, Oct. 12 as they take on Tri-Valley. First preliminary match will begin at 5 p.m.
