Larry E. Wiggins, Sr.
Larry Eugene Wiggins, Sr., 72, of Coshocton passed away at 12:20 A.M., Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Lafayette Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Lafayette.
Born March 2, 1940 in Coshocton, he was the son of the late Harry Leonard Wiggins and Ruth (Phillips) Wiggins-Immel-VanDusen.
Larry served many years with the Ohio National Guard and was called up for active training in 1960 with the U. S. Army.
A hard worker, Larry’s employment was with the Coshocton City Street Department for several years. He will be remembered for his love of motorcycles to ride and enjoy. Another joy was his Chihuahuadog “Baby”. Woodworking was his hobby.
Surviving family members include two sons Larry A. Wiggins, Jr. and fiancee Marcia Smith of Coshocton; James D. (Kelly) Crews of West Lafayette; two daughters Sylvia J. (Paul Nelson) Roberts of Coshocton, Ruth N. (Everisto) Pacheco of Central City, Arkansas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Juanita Taylor of Wooster; three half-sisters Virginia (Robert “Bob”) Patterson of Black Mountain, NC, Linda (Carlos) Kessinger of Shreve, Judy Egnor of Carrollton; four step-brothers Blaine Immel, Norman Immel both of Wooster, Wayne DanDusen of Coshocton, step-sister Emily Jones of Coshocton; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by former wife Mary Louise Wiggins, sister Ruth Ann Wiggins, brother Harry Wiggins, half-brother Donald Immel, step-brothers Weldon and Wilford Immel.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, October 7, 2012 and from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton.
Funeral Services will then follow at 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Cremation will follow and a graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 9, 2012 atSouthLawnCemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council.
