Larry H. Badgley
Larry H. Badgley, 75, of Coshocton passed away Monday, August 5, 2024. He was born in Akron, Ohio on November 4, 1948 to the late Otho “Oats” and Betty (Bliss) Badgley.
Larry graduated from Kenmore High School in 1966 and Akron University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts. He moved to Coshocton in 1972 to work as an Art Teacher at Ridgewood High School for 2 years. Also, in 1972 he became very involved with the Footlight Players Theatre, He acted and directed in 28 Footlight Shows. Through connections he made at the theatre he went to work at Shaw Barton/ JII as a graphic designer for 28 years, and then on to Milligan Memorials for 22 years, where he was a very talented artist, he engraved many headstones by hand. Larry enjoyed showtunes and Broadway plays; he traveled to New York City many times to watch Broadway plays. He was self-taught and a very talented piano player. Larry loved the countryside and spending time tending to his flowers.
Larry is survived by his cousins, Adele, Debbie, Bonnie, and Connie, better known as the “Bickett Girls”; close friends, Wanda Craddock and family; Alan and Jan Myers and their children, Maggie (Adam) Roberts and Maxx McKenna; and Tracy and Gwenna Neal and their children, Francie, Tori, and Sawyer Neal; and several other friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Lana Starcher and Daniel Badgley; and cousin John Bickett.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with a memorial service beginning at 6:00pm with Pastor Adam Roberts officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards Coshocton Footlight Players or Interim Hospice of Coshocton; envelopes available at the funeral home
